EMIL MILAN( 1922 - 1985 )
"If you accept the idea that the craftsman is one who works with hand tools, how would categorize a man who used machine tools as hand tools? Woodworker Emil Milan of Orange, New Jersey did just that- Milan is a craftsman who found his own way of working. In his first three years of bowl producing, his mark, "Emilan" had already become synonymous with fine wooden bowls." Craft Horizons, 1957
Examples of Emil Milan's work reside in the Smithsonian American Art Museum.
